Friday morning a group of us UNE students went out for a traditional Spanish breakfast! There were similarities and differences between Spanish breakfast and American breakfast. It started off like a normal breakfast - coffee, orange juice, and water were the main drink options. We then tried Spanish churros! There are several types of bread, but the most common one in Spain is "mollete" a soft white bread. There are also a few topping options including jam, but most of us went with "completa" which is mollete with olive oil, Iberian ham, and a tomato spread. It was so delicious and so filling! Everyone was satisfied. We then talked and laughed and shared stories of our travels. Although the food options were quite different, it was just as fun and delicious as an American breakfast!
