ESA Sustainability

At ESA we love to travel but we also know it is one of the major contributors to climate change and we are committed to reducing our impact.

We understand that a key to reducing our carbon footprint is by changing our habits and reducing emissions where possible. Thus, ESA incentivizes students to stay in town or travel locally. We will reimburse students for train tickets they purchase to travel in a more sustainable way while participating in the program. We have designated $5000 to this project and any unused funds will be donated to our partner, Sustainable Travel International, to be spent on carbon offsets. We will provide more details of this program to all participants in advance of their program.

Additionally, we strive to work with environmentally friendly local providers that have a sustainability certificate or hold sustainability as a main part of their mission. We also reduce and reuse  and provide eco friendly materials to the participants.

We look forward to partnering with you to build a more sustainable future for the world.

Let’s work together!
